We have found the need to alert on routing changes. Up to this point, we have configured custom pollers to monitor a specific Routing Neighbor and alert if the status changes. This has worked well, but involves configuring a specific custom poller for each router for the BGP neighbor we want to monitor. It works, but it's tedious.
There is a Routing Neighbors resource for the routers when I List Resources. This provides a table of Routing Neighbors. This Resource can be added to a particular View. Obviously this must be based on an SNMP query and populate a field in the database entry for that node.
Is it possible to alert on this information and define an alert that would apply to all routers rather than configuring a custom alert for each router?
