Woops! I had "logger name=org.solarwinds.~" I changed it to com.

Also, I'm not sure why you're seeing a capture of over 1000+. That could be a related issue.
At most, we're only capturing 3 or 4 lines from the e-mail alert.
You should be able to reproduce the errors if you configure your Alert Central with the following config:
